Primary Source Verification (PSV) is a critical part of the credentialing process. This verifies that the physician applying to your facility successfully completed the required residency or fellowship training. The verification must come directly from the physician's training program.

Traditionally, the physician provides the name of the training program and the dates when they attended. The credentialing organization must then locate the appropriate contact information for the program (phone, fax or email). This is followed by back-and-forth communication to identify the appropriate personnel, pay applicable fees (typically via a mailed check), then periodically follow-up to check on the progress of PSV. Documents are typically sent via email or fax, both of which are unreliable and insecure means of communication. The entire process is therefore slow and prone to failure, often resulting in frustration all around.

Our app solves all of these issues by providing an efficient, reliable and secure service to connect you with training programs:

  • Primary Source Verification: All information regarding the physician's training is provided directly by their residency or fellowship program. The information is not coming from our app or other third party.
  • Up-to-Date Residency Contact Information: You are connected directly to the official PSV contact at the residency or fellowship program; all you need is the name of the program, specialty and state.
  • Secure Document Delivery: You upload the release form and verification form to our app, and the completed verification is delivered to you on our website. This ensures that your communication is not intercepted by spam filters, there is no loss of quality as in faxed documents, and all communication is secure.
  • Rapid Turnaround: The mean time taken from request to completion is currently days for standard service. You may also request expedited service when necessary.
  • Flexible Options to Suit your Workflow: If the standard VGMET form will not suffice, you may submit your organization's own PSV form for completion. In addition to web-based downloads, you can also receive a copy of the completed PSV by email, fax or mail.
  • Secure Credit Card Payment: No need to mail a check and wait for receipt. You may also pay directly from your organizational bank account if credit cards are not available.
  • Status Updates: You may visit our app at any time to check on the status of your request - whether the request has been acknowledged, is in process or is complete.
